The
following is gleaned from 439's historical diaries:
While
stationed at Rockcliffe, Ontario R/57925 Sgt HW Chase was killed on
Saturday 5 April 1941 at the age of 24, when the Lysander (tail
number 432) in which he was flying as Air Gunner crashed at Cardinal,
Ontario, also causing the death of the pilot P/O
R.B. Aitken.
