Summary of Events for  No. 439 (CAN) Squadron 

as recorded in the  439 Squadron Operations Record Book

for

11 March 1944

 R.A.F. Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland

A softball game was played this afternoon just outside of dispersal between A-Flight and B-Flight. B-Flight by the astounding score of 22-3 won the game. The C.O. took up a flight of four Typhoons & carried practice dive bombings. 18 pilots will be flying down to Hurn, 7 Typhoons and 11 Hurricanes. 3 pilots will be going by convoy & 3 by train. F/O's Kalen, Smith, Brown, Leigh, & P/O Burton will be leaving Monday or Tuesday on 7 days leave.
