Summary of Events for  No. 439 (CAN) Squadron

 R.A.F. Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland

Weather was closed this morning, so all pilots were shown how to lead their cannon and to do daily inspections (DI's) on Typhoons. A lecture was given by I.O. (Intelligence Officer) F/L Crighten on briefing before an ops and interrogation afterwards. We now have seven Typhoons both Mk 1 & Mk 1B. F/O W.D. Burton (J18959) was posted to the Squadron from 174 Squadron. He has made approximately 40 trips on Hurricane Bombers and Typhoons.
