for

22 February 1944

 R.A.F. Ayr, Ayrshire, Scotland

F/l Dadson and F/O's Johns, Clarke, Smith and Rassenti left this morning for Tain to pickup five more Typhoons. Nine Typhoons came in to-day. Moen bogged down in the mud before take-off so will fly back with the rest tomorrow if the weather is good. A shoot up on an Army convoy was carried out by the Squadron this afternoon led by W/C Davidson. F/L Prendergast arrived to-night for a short visit. Jim was with our Squadron when it first formed in Canada and was 2 i/c when posted overseas.
